How to Volunteer

We need your help! The Ohio River Road Runners Club is an all-volunteer organization and we need over 300 volunteers in order to put on the Turkey Trot. Each volunteer will receive a specially-designed volunteer shirt as well as the praise and thanks of our runners & walkers!

To Volunteer: Please fill out the form below! We will get back to you one week before the race with details about your volunteer job(s), but in the meantime, feel free to send us any questions you have and we’ll answer them the best we can!

Expo Activities

Packet Pick-Up and Late Registration

Shifts: Sunday (12:30-5), Weds (10:30am-3pm), Weds (2:30pm-7pm), and Thurs (6:30am-8am)Reporting Location: Baum Opera HouseReporting Information: Please check in at the "Volunteer Check-In" table. The race personnel there will provide you with your shirt and direct you to your team lead, who will provide you with any information and light training you might require.

Attire: Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather.

Race Day Cleanup

Shift: Thursday (10:00-11:30am)Location: Post Race Refreshment Tent, Riverfront Park, Miamisburg, Ohio [Map]Reporting Information: Please check in with race personnel inside the tent that can be identified by their red "Trot Committee" jacketAttire: Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather.

Food & Beverage Activities

Water Stop at Rice Field

Shift: Thursday (7am-10:30am)Location: Rice Field near Miamisburg, Ohio [Map]Reporting Information: Please go to Rice Field, south of Miamisburg. Race personnel will provide you with any information and light training you might require.Attire: Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather.

Post-Race Refreshments

Shift: Thursday (7:30-11am)Location: Riverfront Park [Map]Reporting Information: Please check in at the Baum Opera House "Volunteer Check-In" table. The race personnel there will provide you with your shirt and direct you to your team lead, Ms. Beth Whitehead, who will provide you with any information and light training you might require. Attire: Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather.

Marshaling Activities

Start/Finish Line Marshal

Shift: Thursday (7am-Race Finish)Location: Race Start near Riverfront Park, Miamisburg, Ohio [Map]Reporting Information: Please check in at The Baum Opera House at the "Volunteer Check-In" table. The race personnel there will provide you with your shirt and direct you to your team lead, who will provide you with any information and light training you might require. Finish-Line People-Mover

Shift: Thursday (7:30am-Race Finish)Location: Finish Line near Riverfront Park, Miamisburg, Ohio [Map]Reporting Information: Please check in at the "Volunteer Check-In" table at the Baum Opera House (Race HQ). The race personnel there will provide you with your shirt and direct you to your team lead, who will provide you with any information and light training you might require. Course Marshal (5-Mile Race)

Shift: Thursday (7-10am)Reporting Location: Please Check in at the "volunteer check in" table at the Baum Opera House. You will be given your position on the road along with directions to get there. Please get your assignment and equipment before heading to your assigned area.Attire: Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather.
